PFLAG Founder Jeanne Manford Posthumously Awarded Presidential Citizens Medal

Earlier this morning in a ceremony at the White House, PFLAG Founder Jeanne Manford was posthumously awarded the second-highest civilian honor in our country — the Presidential Citizens Medal — which recognizes individuals “whose service has had a sustained impact on others’ lives and provided inspiration for others to serve.”

The award was accepted by Jeanne Manford’s daughter, Suzanne Manford Swan, on behalf of her mother.
